SubTally Privacy Policy

SubTally is a subscription and bill tracker developed by Miroslav Maksimovic.

The short version

SubTally does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What data the app handles

• Subscription details (names, prices, billing cycles, dates, categories) that you enter yourself. These are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us or to any third party.
• Settings (language, reminder timing, conversion preferences) — also stored only on your device.
• Backups: the export feature creates a JSON file of your subscriptions that you choose where to share or save. The app never uploads it anywhere on its own.

What the app does NOT do

• No accounts, no sign-in.
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• No collection of personal information, device identifiers, or usage data.
• No network transmission of your subscription data.

Notifications

Renewal reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They do not involve any server.

Currency conversion

If you turn on the optional "convert totals" feature (part of Pro), the app fetches current exchange rates from a free public rates service (open.er-api.com). That request contains only a base currency code — never your subscriptions, prices, or any personal information — and the rates are cached on your device for about a day. If you leave this feature off, the app makes no such request.

App lock

If you enable the optional biometric app lock, authentication is performed entirely by your device's operating system. SubTally never receives or stores your fingerprint, face, or any biometric data.

Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is processed by Google Play / the App Store and RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. Payment is handled entirely by the store; SubTally never sees your payment details. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous purchase token to validate the purchase — see RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data, since everything lives on your device.

Children

SubTally does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
